Thing 5
I have used Windows Messenger because my daughter uses it to check in with me when she gets home from school. Actually, more accurately, when she wants something . However, I had never added any other contacts, so I did learn something new from this exercise. I also learned to manage groups, setting up a group for my family contacts and one called librarians.

Hi, Pam. I am participating in Nebraska Learns 2.0, as you are, and for one of the Things, we are supposed to comment on another participant's blog. I read your blog--very thoughtful!--and this post struck a chord with me because it's so true that the computer is one way that we can connect with our kids. I find that's true for my family, too.
I hope you are enjoying the course! I am learning things I've wanted to know about for a while now. All for now...
